Courses

All classes listed below are held in the The Lotus Room, First Floor, Unity House, 21 Fennel Street, Loughborough, LE11 1UQ. Map. Please refer to the webpage here for details.

Session numbers are limited to ensure that everyone receives optimum attention and guidance, so pre-booking is essential. Also, please complete the Client Enrolment Form before your first visit.

All courses need to be booked and paid for in advance. If, due to commitments, you are unable to attend a session and give at least one week's notice, I will endeavor to offer an alternative class as a replacement. Please note that I will be unable to replace any later cancellations for whatever reason, including last-minute sickness. For further details see Terms and Conditions of Booking.

AUTUMN YOGA COURSES

Autumn yoga courses will run for 7 weeks from 12 September 2017. The studio will be closed from 16-20 October due to the Autumn Yoga Retreat. Winter yoga courses will run straight through for 6 weeks from the week beginning 13 November to the week ending 22 December.

Monday 11 September
Mindfulness for Health & Wellbeing

1900 - 2100
Devised by Julian Daizan Skinner, creator and founder of Zenways, this course combines simple but extremely effective techniques that have been tried and tested over centuries in the Zen tradition with recent scientific research into the benefits of mindfulness. Both meditation and mindfulness help you to develop the inner resources to cope with the challenges you face in life. This course is suitable if you want an introduction to meditation and also if you need to deal with particular stress-related problems.
Cost is £96.00 for 8 weeks from Monday 11 September. Includes all the course materials and recorded guided meditations for you to practice at home.

Energy Flow

This slightly more energetic session will focus on strength and flexibility, and is suitable for those who have some experience of yoga and are used to a reasonable level of physical activity. Each session will conclude with a well-deserved deep relaxation.

Beginners T'ai Chi

New beginner's class of this ancient Chinese, gentle, slow-motion movement and breathing system - suitable for all ages and abilities. Improve balance and co-ordination, breathing and circulation, strength and fitness, relaxation and harmony. No floor work.

Friday 15 September
Yoga

Drop-in Classes

If you are unable to come to a regular class, you can attend on a pre-booked one-off basis at £7 a session. Although places cannot be guaranteed on a weekly basis, I can advise you at the beginning of each week on availability.
