Courses

All classes listed below are held in the The Lotus Room, First Floor, Unity House, 21 Fennel Street, Loughborough, LE11 1UQ. Map. Please refer to the webpage here for details.

Session numbers are limited to ensure that everyone receives optimum attention and guidance. Pre-booking is essential. Please complete the Health Registration form (downloadable as a PDF here) before your first class. This is for the benefit of both the yoga tutor and yourself.

Courses run throughout the year and, although it is advisable to begin at the start of a course, it is possible to join mid-course. If, due to commitments, you are unable to attend a session and give at least one week's notice, I will endeavour to offer an alternative class as a replacement. Please note that I will be unable to replace any later cancellations for whatever reason, including last-minute sickness. For further details see Terms and Conditions of Booking.

SUMMER YOGA COURSES

Summer yoga courses will run for 7 weeks from 11 July 2017. The studio will be closed from 28 August and reopen on 12 September for the Autumn courses.

Wednesday 12 July
Energy Flow

1830 - 1930
This slightly more energetic session will focus on strength and flexibility, and is suitable for those who have some experience of yoga and are used to a reasonable level of physical activity. Each session will conclude with a well-deserved deep relaxation.

Monday 4 September
Mindfulness for Health & Wellbeing

1900 - 2100
Devised by Julian Daizan Skinner, creator and founder of Zenways, this course combines simple but extremely effective techniques that have been tried and tested over centuries in the Zen tradition with recent scientific research into the benefits of mindfulness. Both meditation and mindfulness help you to develop the inner resources to cope with the challenges you face in life. This course is suitable if you want an introduction to meditation and also if you need to deal with particular stress-related problems.
Cost is £96.00 for 8 weeks from Monday 4 September. Includes all the course materials and recorded guided meditations for you to practice at home.

Drop-in Classes

If you are unable to come to a regular class, you can attend on a pre-booked one-off basis at £7 a session. Although places cannot be guaranteed on a weekly basis, I can advise you at the beginning of each week on availability.
